Previewing the hearing, Chairman Harper said: “We are looking forward to this opportunity to examine the management practices of the United States Capitol Police (USCP) and their impact on the department’s operations and workforce. The USCP plays a crucial role in protecting the Legislative Branch, and I am proud of the work the USCP does to protect and serve Members, staff, and the millions of visitors every year. Our Committee will use this hearing to review the USCP’s strategic plan as it relates to the department’s operations, development of the workforce, and continuous improvement in management and performance of the mission.”
