Chairman Loudermilk Statement:
"Today's release marks the halfway point of the estimated 40,000 hours we intend to publish. My staff has been working tirelessly to release all of the footage and ensure the American people receive the full, unaltered truth of the events surrounding January 6, 2021.

"Not only are we releasing all video footage, but we will continue to release all findings, videos, and documents until everything is available for the public to see the full picture of the events surrounding that day."

Speaker Johnson Statement:
"Each tranche of footage released from January 6 provides a more complete picture of that day and additional transparency to the American people. I commend Chairman Loudermilk and the entire Committee on House Administration for working to provide the public with the full slate of facts – not cherrypicked instances to drive a political agenda.

"House Republicans have now released half of the 40,000+ hours of footage, and we will continue to support the Chairman and committee members as they work as quickly as possible to release it all.”

Background:

  • The Oversight Subcommittee will continue to release the remaining balance of footage online.
  • Footage will continue to be reviewed to ensure it does not expose sensitive security information.
  • Media organizations, non-profits, criminal defendants, and every U.S. citizen continues to have the ability to view all of the 40,000+ hours of footage in person in the House Office Buildings video terminal.
