Davis Asks for Hearings to Review Voting Irregularities
January 4, 2019
WASHINGTON – Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Rodney Davis (R-IL) issued the following statement requesting further investigation into voting irregularities reported by the House sanctioned election observers.
“I have sent a letter to Chairwoman Fudge asking the Subcommittee on Elections to investigate voting irregularities reported by House sanctioned election observers during the 2018 elections. We need to be focused on fixing the real problems within our election system in all relevant areas of the country, instead of focusing on a preset Democratic agenda.
“This Committee has an obligation to protect the American voter, which is why we need to conduct a thorough and accurate review of what occurred during the 2018 election cycle. It is reckless to prematurely push H.R.1 without ensuring the legislation addresses all issues within the system.
“I look forward to working with Chairwoman Fudge to carefully review and investigate the reported irregularities from the most recent election cycle, so we may work together to identify productive solutions that encompass all areas of our election system.”
